Utpanna Ekdashi vrat Katha
Once upon a time, there was a demon name Murusura. He was very cruel and always wanted to fight with Deva and Gandharva. There was a huge fight between Devtas and demon Murusura. He was very cruel and wanted to become the king of all the three lokas. On this, all the worried gods approached Lord Vishnu. They prayed to Shri Vishnu to help them and kill the demon. After listening to this, Lord Vishnu went into the cave and went for the deep meditation or yoga indra. While he was sleeping, demon Murusura tried to attack Lord Vishnu.
Hence, to save god, Goddess Ekadashi was born and she saved Lord Vishnu from the demon and killed the demon. This is the reason why Godddess Ekadashi is known as the protective layer of Lord Vishnu.
In fact, Lord Vishnu was pleased and impressed by Goddess Ekadashi.
Boons to Goddess Ekadashi
Therefore, Hindu God Shri Vishnu asked her to demand 3 boons from the Lord Vishnu. She asked for :
- Goddess Ekadashi will be lovable to Lord Vishnu.
