What to do on Sawan Shivaratri?
Kanwariyas offer jal to Shivlinga on this sacred day after finishing their Kanwar Yatra. Additionally, devotees should do the following things on Sawan Shivratri:
a) Wake up early and have your bathing rituals on time.
b) Observe fast and refrain from eating grains, cereals and other things made up of cereals.
c) Consume only milk products, fruits and nuts.
d) Faith is the most prominent thing in worshipping a deity. It is your trust and faith that aligns you to the energies of Lord Shiva. So, trust the procedure of fasting and worshipping Lord Shiva.
