Additionally, Aniruddha, Lord Krishna’s grandson, directed Vajranabha to install it in Vrindavan. Later, Srila Sanatana Goswami installed the deity and worshipped in the current building. Its splendid architecture showcases Nagar style with red stone. The wonders of art and craftsmanship deserve a salute.

However, during the rule of Mughal king Aurangzeb, all the idols of thakurji temples were sent to Jaipur as he ordered demolishing of all the popular Hindu idols of Vrindavan. At this, the idol of Shri Radha Madan Mohan ji was sent to Karauli, Rajasthan. Still, one can feel the plethora of blissful love and devotion at the Karauli temple premises.
