Pandupol Hanuman Ji Temple, Sariska
Pandupol Hanuman Temple is located at Alwar district of Rajasthan, India. It is located in the midst of Sariska Tiger Reserve. This temple is one of its kind. In addition to, it has historical background of Mahabharata times.
Highlights of Pandupol Hanuman Ji Temple
- Pandupol Hanumanji Temple has history of 5000 years from Mahabharata times.
- It attracts hundreds of devotees on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
- This temple is surrounded by beautiful water fall and greenery of Arawali mountain range.
- Also, it was built by Sant Nirbhay Dasji Maharaj, a great devotee of Lord Hanumana.
- Although this temple derives its name from Pandavas, protagonist of the great epic of Hinduism, Mahabharata.
- However, this temple has a story goes like. Once, during the exile of Pandavas with their mother Kunti, at caves in Arawali range, Draupadi was taking bath in waterfall of this place. She recieved a beautiful flower during her bathing rituals.
- She came back to cave and asked her husband, Bheema to have this flower from tophill. Thus, Bheema went up the water fall and saw an old monkey lying on route with his ever long tail all lying on the route.
- Further, he asked Monkey to move his tail to other side so that he can go. On this, Monkey asked him to remove his tail from the way. Bheema tried a lot to lift up the tail, but he could not do so.
- As Bheema was prideful of his strength and valorous body, he got a lesson that, there is always someone above you.
- At the end, Lord Hanumana came to his original form and made this place his temple.
- It is believed by worshipping Hanuman ji here, one gets all his desires fulfilled.
- There is lot of rush during Hanuman Jayanti and Ram Navami.
- There is a grand fair namely Pandupol Hanuman lakhi mela, is organised every year attracting thousands of devotees.
- Apparently, temple is open to general public on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

How to Reach
Sariska is a well connected place in Rajasthan. You can try out following routes to reach there
a) By Air: Jaipur International Airport is 100 kms away from Sariska while Indhira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi is 200 kms away from it. One can avail taxi service to reach further to the destination.
b) By Train: Alwar Railway Station is 37 kms away from the temple. From there, one can catch local bus, taxi or pre paid cab services available online & offline modes.
c) By Road: However, Sariska Tiger Reserve is well connected to all the major cities via road. One can travel by own vehicle or any post paid or prepaid cab service.
Luteria Hanuman Ji Temple, Vrindavan
Luteria Hanumanji Temple holds great significance for Vrindavan and nearby religious sites.
a) Additionally, this temple is 3500 years old.
b) Locals believe that this temple was made by Lord Shri Krishna himself.
c) Popular known as Kotwal of Vrindavan, famous temple of Hanuman ji guarding the city of Shri Bankey Bihari ji at devotees.
d) There were time, when devotees used to hesitate to come to temple after 5 PM. This area was at high risk in terms of theft, bulgary and other crimes. So, this temple was built.
e) Hence, Lord Hanuman is now the called watchman who keeps eye on his devotees. It is believed that by worshipping Lord Hanuman here, one get rid of all his problems and worries.

How to Reach
Reaching Vrindavan is quite easy, as this area is well connected to almost all the cities via road transport.
By Air : Indhira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi is the nearest Airport to Vrindavan. From Delhi, one can avail the services of private cab operators or even deluxe buses too.
By Train : Mathura Junction Railway Station is the railway station well connected to all the cities. From here, one can take local train to Vrindavan. Else, you may also avail services of locally operated buses and pool auto rickshaw to reach the temple.
By Road : Vrindavan is well connected to Delhi, Agra and other metro cities via Highways and Yamuna Express way. One can pick his or her own vehicle to reach the destination.
Girjabandh Hanuman Ji Temple, Jharkhand
Indeed Lord Hanumana is a symbol of celibacy and valorous body in Hinduism. But, Do you know there is a temple dedicated to female form of Lord Hanumana? Yes, at Girjabandh, Chaittsgarh, there is a temple dedicated to female form of Hanuman ji. One of its kind, this temple has many more interesting features as follows :
Highlights of Girjabandh Hanuman ji Temple
a) This temple was built by King Prithvi Devju of Ratanpur.
b) Infact, this temple is 25 kms away from Bilaspur, situated at Ratanpur village
c) Apparently, near Girijabandh Hanuman Temple, there is a huge Mahamaya Devi temple.
d) Furthermore, the idol of Lord Hanumana situated here facing south has depicted the underworld. In this, there is Ahiravana (ally of Ravana) is under the left leg of Hanuman ji and a butcher has been pressed in his right leg.
e) Additionally, Lord Rama and Lakshmana are sitting on the shoulders of Hanuman ji. And he has a garland in one hand and a plate full of laddus in the other hand.
Story of Female Form of Hanuman ji
As per Anand Ramayana, When Ahiravana took the unconscious Shri Ram and Lakshmana with him in Patala loka, he was worshipping Patala loka devi Mahamaya. Then to search Shri Ram and Lakshman ji, Lord Hanumana took a form of housefly and entered Patala loka. He went near Devi Mahamaya. And asked, do you want Bali (sacrifical ritual) of Lord Rama and Lakshmana ? They are born to kill Ravana.
On this, Mahamaya said, No I don’t want them. Thus, Lord Hanumana took form of Mahamaya and made a female voice to Ahiravana and told him to free them (Ram and Lakshman). Eventually, Hanumanji killed Him.
Another legend suggests, there was a king of Ratnapur named Prithvi Devju. He caught leprosy. He was very sad and always thought of getting fine one day. However, none of medication, vaidya, sages and remedy worked for him.
Eventually, one day, he was sleeping. He saw a dream, where Lord Hanumana came and asked him to make a temple at current location. King did the same. To install the idol, he was tensed. Infact, Lord Hanumana came to his dream again and said, go to Mahamaya Kund, and search for the idol. He did the same and got the idol. The idol was in female form without tail.
Since, then Lord Hanuman is worshipped as female here.
Devotees offer 16 Shringaar items to this unique idol of lord Hanuman.

By Air: The nearest airport to Ratanpur is Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur (140 km away). From the airport, one can hire a direct cab to Ratanpur or catch a bus to Bilaspur, and then take a cab to Ratanpur.
By Rail: Bilaspur Junction Railway Station is the nearest Railway station to reach Ratanpur. It is about 25 km away from Ratanpur, thenafter one can hire a direct cab or catch a public vehicle to reach the divine temple.
By Road: Ratanpur is well connected to all other cities and towns. Thus, making it easy to access by road.
Sakhi Ke Hanuman Ji Temple, Jhansi
You will be surprised to know the uniqueness of this temple. Here, Lord Hanumana is adorned as a woman. There are key points you must know about Sakhi wale hanuman ji Temple :
a) Shri Shri 1008 Sakhi Hanuman ji temple is 500 years old.
b) It is located in Bundelkhand region on Gwalior road near Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh.
c) Here, the idol of Lord Hanumana holds mace in both the hands. As, the idol is in a female form, Lord wears Lehnga and Choli.
d) Apparently, it is believed that Lord Hanumana comes to this temple every night and walks around it.
e) As per common belief, childless couple gets the blessings of Hanuman ji.
Story of Hanuman Ji as Sakhi
As per Anad Ramayana, Charushila was the name given to the sakhi (friend) form of Lord Haunmana. When Goddess Sita was going to Girija Vatika to pluck flowers and to worship Mata Parwati before her swayambhar. However, there were many sakhi of Sita ji there, one of them went missing in between to create positive environment for the two princes coming for swayambar. Infact, these princes were Lord Rama and Lakshmana.
Another legend suggests, there was an ardent devotee of Lord Hanumana, name Sakhi Baba. He dreamt of Lord Hanumana one day, where, he was given instruction by god to make a temple of Lord Hanumana and search for the idol as told by Lord to him. After waking up, he searched for the idol and got Sakhi wale Hanumanji idol. He then made a temple.
Since, then he is worshipped in Sakhi form.

To reach Sakhi wale Hanumanji Temple, one can try out by following routes:
a) By Air : There is no airport in the city, apparently, there is an airport at Jaipur which is 110 kms away from here. From then, one can book a taxi or travel in bus to reach here.
b) By Train : Alwar Railway Station is the nearest railway station to reach Pandupol Hanumanji Temple. From there, one can hire a cab or cam travel via pool taxis.
c) By Road : Sariska Tiger Reserve has a well connected network of roads.
Dr Hanuman Temple, Dandraua Dham
This majestic temple in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh, India has a totally different form of Hanumanji. Popularly called Dr Hanuman ji, the idol of Lord Hanumana is in Dr awatar.
Highlights of Dr Hanuman ji Temple
Few points you must know about this temple as follows :
a) However, there is a ‘stethoscope’ around the neck of the idol, i.e. a doctor’s ‘niche’ in common parlance.
b) Additionally, the fame and name of the temple is not confined to the state, but people across the country are reaching here to pay obeisance.
c) As name suggests, people with severely bad health conditions, comes to this temple with a hope to get cured.
d) Although, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, people start arriving here from far and wide. It is a popular belief that if a person comes consecutively for five Tuesdays to this temple with full devotion, he will start getting cured.
e) Dandraua is short form of Dard Harane wala. This place got its name from the mischievous healing powers of Lord Hanumanji.
f) Infact, Bhabhuti is given in the form of medicine, which the patient has to eat.
g) Moreover, it is believed that a sadhu named Shivkumar Das was suffering from cancer for a long time. Hanuman ji had appeared in the temple in the guise of a doctor, in this form Hanuman ji had a stethoscope around his neck. After seeing this form of Lord Hanuman, the sage became completely healthy. Since then this temple is famous by the name of Doctor Hanuman Temple.

By Air: Nearest airport is Raja Bhoj Airport, Bhopal to this area. From there one can book a taxi to reach Dandraua Dham.
By Train: Hoshangabad railway station is the nearest (45 kms) railway station to Dandraua Dham. However, one can come via Gwalior too.
By Road: Dandraua Dham is well connected place to all major cities through network of roads. One can avail the services of pre and post paid cab services.
